Get ready to trick the eye and spark the imagination! In this awesome art class, young artists will explore the world of Op Art, discovering how simple lines, shapes, and colors can create mind-blowing illusions of depth and movement.
In this six week session, creators will- 
  • Draw 3-D grid illustrations that seem to pop right off the page
  • Design, cut, and weave their own optical illusion cubes
  • Build a perspective landscape that plays tricks on the eye
  • Hand-draw and color spinning tops bursting with pattern and motion
  • Create bold starburst letters using line, shape, and color for eye-popping effect
No experience needed, all supplies included 
REGISTRATION 
This enriching class is for growing artists ready to learn and create!  We explore a variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, cardboard sculpture, and weaving. Each week, we’ll dive into new techniques and ideas, giving young creators the freedom to express themselves in unique and meaningful ways. Through fun, hands-on activities, artists begin to explore basic key art concepts, artists and history, building the tools they’ll need to grow as creators. Working together in a collaborative environment, young artists will on a variety of concepts over the session, encouraging teamwork and creativity. Guided by both peers and our instructor, participants will experience the joy of creating within a community, where ideas are shared, and every creation is celebrated. 

Each 6 week session offers a new area of concentration and exploration and is open to any participant regardless of previous participation.

Please come dressed in clothes you are comfortable getting messy.
